Are you or your child suffering from anxiety, depression, poor self esteem, trauma, or an eating disorder?
Did you know that nutrition (or lack thereof) could have a direct impact on someone's ability to cope or the effectiveness of medication?
Did you know that mental health is commonly associated with digestive issues like Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and food intolerances?
"But how can I eat when I never feel hungry or feel nauseous from being stressed out?!" or "But what if my child won't listen to reason?!"
I'm so glad you asked...
Kim has many strategies that will help you and your family on the worst of days. She has developed the passion for helping those with mental health issues from painful personal experiences that she hopes to help others avoid or recover from more quickly than she did.
Kim has 7 years of dietitian experience working with infants, children and adolescents discharged from children's hospitals in Ontario with mild to severe medical diagnoses and nutritional concerns. With an intuitive approach, Kim can assess and treat poor growth, feeding aversions, allergies or sensitivities, and digestion issues. Dissatisfied with your child's tube feeding progress (or lack there of)? Kim also uses her specialized training to wean infants and children off of tube feeds and develop home blenderized tube feed diets.
Kim uses the 10 Principles of Intuitive Eating to help her patients feel better in mind and body. Unlike traditional weight-loss dietitians and nutritionists, she uses Intuitive Eating to address the psychological and physical reasons why people eat the way they do. Your weight is not a behaviour, it's a side effect...
